Aims and Objectives

This English course aims to provide students with the range of skills needed to cope in an English-speaking environment. The course incorporates a wide variety of resources designed to accommodate each student's learning style. There are five different courses.

Standard: 3 hours in the morning, 5 days (15 hours in total)
Intensive: 15 hours, plus 5 hours in the afternoons (2.5 hours on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons).
Super Intensive: 15 hours in the morning, 5 hours in the afternoons (2.5 hours on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons), plus 2 hours one to one lessons.
Part time Day course: Study on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, or for a minimum of 2 mornings a week.
Part-time Evening course on Tuesday and Thursday 6pm-9pm

Outline of syllabus - Standard morning classes

1. Communication Skills practice for correct pronunciation
2. Vocabulary work and spelling guidelines
3. Listening activities based on real-life situations
4. Reading tasks to aid understanding of English language
5. Writing exercises aimed at improving accuracy
6. Studying English grammar points relevant to the level of your course

Outline of Syllabus - Intensive & Super Intensive afternoon classes

1. Concentrates on everyday English language
2. Focuses on a specific topic each week to increase knowledge and English vocabulary
3. Topics include Education, Money, Travel
4. Discussion work to improve speaking skills
5. 3 levels of class available

Minimum age is 16 years old September – June. However June – August students aged 15 are accepted on General English and Summer Courses
All levels
Choose how many weeks you want to study - the longer you stay, the less you pay

Please Note: For part time courses, a minimum of 10 weeks are required.
Part time Day Courses at £9.60 per hour. A minimum of 4 weeks is required.

During July and August we offer a range of General English courses together with a full social programme that includes full and half day excursions. These courses are open to student aged 16 or above.
