We also have an extensive e-learning programme.
Each student can register and log onto Manchester Central School’s E-learning
website. This contains material for all levels to help with reading,
listening, vocabulary and grammar. Students can enjoy the benefits
of Blended learning and when they leave the school and return
to their country, they are still able to access this site and have
help and guidance from tutors.
The service is free to students who have enrolled with the
school and paid their fees in full. Students can use the
programme at any time during their stay and for up to
twelve months after they leave.
The website combines a self-study programme with
social networking. Students can implement their own
self-study plan and track their progress throughout.
Each plan begins with a level assessment test and then
the student can complete exercises that are appropriate
for their level. Each unit contains exercises for reading,
listening, grammar and vocabulary.
There are weekly discussions on the English Language with other
students in the UK. The site is affiliated to the Oxford University
Press online dictionary and students are able to keep in touch with
their tutors every step of the way.
